Thomsens Photographic Gallery was established in Maryborough, by my parents Narelle and Wilson Thomsen, in 1971. I joined the family business in 1995 and have been shooting professionally ever since. Mum and Dad retired in 2006, leaving me to continue their traditions of genuine care for the client, attention to detail, integrity and sourcing only the very best quality products within our industry.
The custom designed images that I capture and create for my clients are a treasured investment and will be passed down through their future generations. These images are not just sheets of photo paper or files on a disc, they are a preservation of memories from a special time in peoples lives. These memories also make wonderful personalised gifts for family and friends (portraits for presents).
Having grown up in the back of a studio, I have lifelong photographic experience, acquired a natural sense of composition and valuable old school knowledge of how to find light and use it correctly, along with an exceptional ability to pose people with out really posing.
My professional yet down to earth approach helps everybody at a photo shoot feel comfortable and ensures a relaxed experience for all involved.
